How THBPAY works, step by step
THBPAY calls it "P2P". Let us look at where the money really comes from.
Step 1: You "buy" balance
The app shows orders like "500 PKR, Easypaisa, 179***28JO". You send real money from your wallet to a stranger's wallet. The app then shows "platform balance" in your account. This balance is only a number inside the app.
Step 2: You "sell" balance
You add your JazzCash or Easypaisa number. Then strangers send money into your account. The app says sales happen automatically because there are "many buyers".
Step 3: You get a reward
You get about 2.3% on each order. Ask yourself: why would someone pay you just to pass money along?
Who are the "buyers"?
In schemes like this, the money usually comes from:
- people playing illegal online gambling or betting apps
- people who were tricked by online scams
Criminals cannot use their own accounts, because those get blocked. So they use many normal people's accounts. The 2.3% is the price they pay to use your name and your account.
What is a money mule?
Even if you did not know, the money went through your account under your CNIC. That is why the risk falls on you.
What can go wrong
- Your JazzCash or Easypaisa account gets frozen.
- Your SIM or CNIC gets linked to a fraud complaint.
- The app stops withdrawals or closes, and your balance is lost.
- People you invited lose money and blame you.
Urdu mein: 2.3% "reward" is liye milta hai kyunke aap apna account aur apna naam istemal karne de rahe hain. Masla hua to pakray aap jayenge, app wale nahi.
